Still There And Still the Same

When Jesus came to this world, He came to do the will of His Father, and do what He saw the Father doing. He came with an outshining love toward all who would receive Him. When you invited Him into your life, you invited love! He came into your life not to judge but to bring you into the family of God. You returned to a loving Father, who was there with open arms to embrace you, bless you, and to remove your old rags and clothe you in the royal garments of a son or daughter.

God, activated His plans for you, and these plans are for Good. He never planned calamity, pain or harm for you. He was there when you prayed and called out to Him. He has been there every time you came to Him in your times of morning devotions. He has been there every time you turned your attention to Him in the study of His word. His manifest presence has been there every time you entered into worship and praise. He has been there every time you gave your heart to hearing a sermon or teaching. He has been there every time one His prophets was prompted to speak prophetic words over you. He has been there in the loving grace of one of His apostles toward you.

Is there anything that changes God’s love for you? Is there anything to make Him love you any more than He does. Is there anything that will make God abandon you, desert you, give up on you? Does your awareness of His presence change how near He is?

We may wonder away from our awareness of His love or His presence, but that changes nothing. If we ever take our eyes off Him and look away, it doesn’t change how He sees you. As soon as we stop and look to Him and open our hearts once again to Him, we find He hasn’t changed! His love of you hasn’t changed! His plans haven’t changed! Your destiny and purpose hasn’t changed.

Our mood, feelings, emotions, and imagination may change, but God does not change. How we feel about ourselves may change, but God has not changed and He not been moved to feel any other way toward you than love, forgiveness, affirmation, and acceptance.

He never changes, He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. He is love, He is light and He is and always will be our Heavenly Father. Jesus is our savior, friend and elder brother. The Holy Spirit is and always will be our comforter and counselor.
